Leadership Conference Information

The MMUN Leadership institute is for an experienced MMUN Delegate or Coordinator. Our goal is to educate Montessori teachers and former MMUN delegates to take on the role of Committee Presidents, Vice Presidents, Rapporteurs as well as the MMUN Secretariat.

Just as a dedicated Montessori faculty is the core of a successful Montessori school, it is equally important for MMUN. The professionalism of the Committee Chairs may look easy, but it is the result of having been coordinators or delegates and then learning the role and responsibilities for the Dais. As a Committee President or Vice President or Rapporteur your MMUN conference fees and room at the annual event in NY will be waived and you will receive shared hotel room accommodations. Presidents and Vice Presidents will receive a per diem for meal expenses.

Chaperones:  If you are a former middle school or high school student attending, you must have an adult chaperone.

-Adult Involvement in Committee Activity

-Secretariat Conduct and Delegates’ Code of Conduct

-Parliamentary Procedure

-Role Play for Parliamentary Procedure

-Rules of Procedure: Long and Short forms

You will receive a MMUN Leadership Manual.
