All MMUN Conference Attendees must lodge within the MMUN reserved hotel room blocks  (Brooklyn Marriott or Sheraton Brooklyn). The hotel's discounted guest room rate and the charge for conference facilities are based on this requirement. The deadline for reservations is March 12 2012. Those schools who choose to lodge outside this room block will be charged a facility fee of $125 per participant/attendee.

All rooms at the Sheraton are $319/night plus taxes.

Important Information on Hotel Booking Process for the Sheraton:

This year MMUN is facilitating the hotel reservation process.  The only way to get the MMUN discounted rate is to complete the MMUN Registration below. All reservations will be submitted to the Sheraton by MMUN.

STEP 1: COMPLETE MMUN REGISTRATION

1. Complete all delegates, chaperones, teachers, coordinators and parents registrations that will attend the conference.
 
2. The remainder of the fees for each delegate, chaperone, teacher, coordinator and parent need to be paid in full.

3. Once payment is made, you will be able to list the names of all the attendees. Once the names are listed in the dashboard, you may proceed with hotel registration.
 

STEP 2: HOTEL RESERVATIONS

4. There Marriott hotel is now 100% sold out for MMUN 2012.  All conference participants who do not have reservations at the Marriott will be booked at the Sheraton Brooklyn Hotel in the MMUN room block.

5. Complete the form in its entirety after you have completed the MMUN registration process. All sections must be filled out.  Please indicate room preferences on the rooming list.  The hotel will do the best they can to accommodate. The Sheraton does not have cots/rollaways and cannot guarantee connecting rooms.   The room configurations are 1 King bed or 2 double beds.

Please note: If each family will be booking their own hotel room, distribute the credit card authorization form  to the families to fill out and return to the school. The school should submit all of the credit card authorizations together with one rooming list.  Please do not have parents submitting the forms directly to MMUN.
If  an individual is not registered for the conference they cannot have their name on the hotel reservation form.  

6. Once the form is complete and/or you have received the forms from all families, submit all to MMUN Accounts Manager and Registrar, Heidi Walters by scan and email at or fax to 646-355-0082. Please ensure the subject line reads: Hotel: "Your School Name".

7. Once MMUN receives your form and cross-references the names on the registration to the names registered for the conference,we will book your rooms.

8. The Sheraton Room block has been pre-paid by MMUN therefore MMUN will be invoicing the schools the hotel fees.  Payment of 1 night per room including taxes is due upon receipt of invoice to guarantee your reservation and the balance will be due February 28, 2012. Because these rooms have been prepaid to secure the low rate, there are no refunds on cancellations after March 12, 2012 5pm EST. 

9. A Credit card will be required upon check-in at the Sheraton to cover incidentals.  MMUN payment is for the room and taxes ONLY.

No refunds on room cancellations received after 5pm EST March 12, 2012.

There is no assurance rooms will be available at the reduced MMUN Group rate.  There are limited rooms available.  First come first serve.  Once the block is filled best available rate will be offered if the hotel is not sold out. 

Registrants that choose to stay outside the reserved  MMUN hotel blocks will be charged a facility fee of $125 per delegate and credentialed adult.  Those without credentials (Unregistered adults or delegate) will not be granted access to the committees or the United Nations.

We strongly advise that you do not make your flight or transportation arrangements until after you have received your confirmation.
